Nutrition & Calorie Comments

The picture looks like red cabbage, not broccoli, but I am not familiar with the named ingredient in the recipe. I do love low calorie slaw!
I would modify the recipe as I would like to add more veggies. Not just slawed cabbage. Roasted Peanut added in or some slivered or sliced almonds would be great to add into this recipe too for some added healthy fats and protein.
the picture looks like red cabbage not broccoli slaw....but I made it it was good...sad they dont give the calorie count with the orange slices....someone needs to look over these recipes for accuracy and the right picture as well
Great combination. Never thought of clementine in slaw and now it is a favorite. I didn't have tahini, but I did have interesting hummus -roasted carrot, a bit of balsamic, pumpkin seeds. Good as written as well. Now have tahini, could sub a nut butter-peanut/ etc. even PB2 for lower calorie
BRmallory1986 - Did you ever get an answer? I too avoid fruit juices due to sugar content. Wondering if diet ginger ale might work? Otherwise the recipe sounds great. I will definitely try it soon.
Has anyone tried this with something other than OJ? I don't buy orange juice or really any juice because of the sugar in juices. I sometimes will buy diet juice for my hubby that is low sugar but that is cran-raspberry or cran-pom juice
We like the combination of tahini with the orange and the little bite of garlic. Superb! We think it needs a bit of salt, but rather than add salt to the slaw when making it, we sprinkled a little bit of finishing salt on it when serving. I gather this recipe is for people who want to cut sodium.
