Nutrition & Calorie Comments

Original recipe was great. I also made it modified for husband's health needs. I sub unsweetened applesauce for oil, used no vinegar, used splenda brown sugar, "NoSalt" in place of regular salt, and whole grain pastry/pie flour in place of unbleached flour. top
with mixture of cocoa and splenda.
I really enjoyed this cake, I did use all sugar, a little less than the recipe, and added a jar of cherries that I canned last summer, and it was divine. Thank you.
i could not figure out why the sodium was so high. And that fact that noone mentioned it especialy. Finally checked the ingredient info and instead of saying 1/4 tsp. it says cups. wow what a difference a decimal makes. lol
I would give it 5 stars, but I have not had made it yet, but it sounds delicious and easy. I think I am going to try making it with both splenda sugar and splenda brown sugar substitute. Whatever I can do to save some calories!
instead of Splenda, could you use sugar and how much?
