Nutrition & Calorie Comments

The 25 serving suggestion seemed paltry, so I made changes to decrease fat & calories for bigger servings. I instead used no-sugar-added cherry filling and subbed butter for margarine, decreasing the amount to 2 tbs. I also mixed the batter. 1/12 of my cake clocks in at 220 cals & only 5 grams fat.
i have made this cake since i found the recipe back in the early 1960's, my family (mother and father) loved it and i have made it for me and my husband since we married in 1968 as a quick and easy dessert. so i do recommend this to anyone who wants a quick and easy dessert.
