Nutrition & Calorie Comments

I added 2 T. of cooked mashed carrot and 1 T. of Panko crumbs. It was very good and the calories were great.
This is great for those of us on slow carb who cannot add bread crumbs, crackers or potato flakes. Will add a bit of olive oil mayo and grate the onion for moisture
These turned out awesome! I have just started my low carb diet and haven't made it to the grocery store yet. I was trying to find a recipe that wouldn't blow my diet with ingredients I already had and this is just perfect!! Thanks!
These were very tasty, I tried baking them and it worked well, also made some sauted in butter but the calories were much higher. The calories in the salmon are high, the bumble bee site lists 80 per 2.2 oz or 133 for 1/4 can instead of the 158 listed in the nutrition.
I`ve had these since I was a little girl and still make them like my mom. I use can salmon, an egg, and crushed saltines, and fry them in a small pat of margarine just for taste. Mmm good!
Healthy and delicious. I had to modify slightly because I used the foil packages of salmon. I'm not really sure how that affected the nutrition totals. I add a little onion and some crushed saltines and my husband tops his with yellow mustard.
Great protein source!
I get frozen wild Salmon and thaw it easily then bake it. Let cool. Break it apart, add seasoned bread crumbs, low fat sour cream and mayo, egg, onion and bell pepper. Mix well form patties and bake 4 minutes each side.
Both my husband and I really loved the salmon cakes!! I made them with some stir fried green beans and mushrooms, and some asparagus with garlic salt on them! It was a perfect meal! Oh yeah, I also added some of the mushrooms into the cakes...delicious!!!
I prefer Red Salmon and use the Zaterains salmon cake mix, but use low fat mayo and I bake them. The best salmon cakes you will ever eat and low fat!!!!
this sounds very good, I've been making salmon cakes since a teen. I've never tried oatmeal to hold the cakes together and can't wait to try it. The sodium from cracker has always been a concern.
My mom made this when I was growing up. I tried it recently, but didn't use breadcrumbs and it stayed together okay. I even ate them cold as a snack the next day. I hadn't bothered to check out the nutrition info yet. Thanks for sharing your version.
sounds delicioso! I'll add some oats to add more fiber
