Nutrition & Calorie Comments

My kids loved these, and I liked them very much. They are quite cake-like, which isn't my favorite cookie texture, but I know that's a result of the low fat content. Might try a small amount of oil next time instead of the applesauce and see how that affects the texture.
Has anyone made this wonderful-sounding recipe using brown sugar substitute instead of real brown sugar? If so, how does it taste? It would save a few calories, so I'm interested in finding out if it works out just as well as the original recipe.
These were so easy to make. My kids are going to love them. You can even make a cream cheese icing for them. 4oz fat free cream cheese, 1/4 c. sugar and 1tbl. skim milk.
