I used low fat cream cheese I cut back on the mozzarella and added more shredded parmesan. With the addition of veggies, shrimp and fettuccini it made a good dinner.
Tasty! I also added mushrooms and cut it back to 2 servings: 2 ounces of nonfat cream cheese, 1 clove of garlic, 1/4 cup of 2% milk, 1 mozzarella cheese stick cut up in chunks, 1/8 cup of a 3 cheese blend (parmesan, romano and asiago). Perfect portion!
This was so good! Just as good as regular, full fat Alfredo. My only question is what exactly is the serving size?
It does take a while to get the cream cheese and butter to blend, but it is an amazing sauce and so low fat (compared to the traditional recipe!) A must have for alfredo lovers!!
Poured over a 9x13" baking pan of cooked chicken breast and broccoli. Then baked for 25 min at 350. Yum!!! Keeping this recipe for my Low Carb cookbook! Thanks for sharing!
Very yummy and easy to make for the cooking-impaired like me. Tastes very close to the kind you get at a restaurant, but with a fraction of the calories, fat and sodium! Will definitely make again.
I also added fresh mushrooms & used lean thin sliced pork that I trimmed all the fat off & precooked to drain any remaining fat off. MY family went nuts over it. THIS RECIPE IS GOING IN MY RECIPE BOX, LOVED IT!
an impressive low fat variation!
Wow, extremely great tasting. I cut the recipe in half and for personal preference and for the extra fat cal. I add two more tablespoons of parm. My kids even love this. Easiest thing to make as well, taste much better than store bought.
Nice tasting and low in calories.
This recipe is so easy to prepare and it is SO delicious! My husband LOVES alfredo sauce and resigned to never having it again. He's very happy with this recipe and I really enjoyed the taste and the nutritional value! Thank you!
My whole family loved the sauce, very rich and cheesy. I used blue menu fat free cream cheese and it melted just fine. I also used blue menu high fibre fettucine which complimented it great!!! a keeper for sure
I cut back on the cream cheese and used half nonfat cream cheese and half cream cheese with vegetables. I also added some more seasonings and feta cheese. Overall very good though.
This is really really good. I'm a cheese freak & it's the hardest thing for me to give up when I'm trying to lose weight, and this gave me all the happiness of my cheese addiction without the calories!!
This wasn't bad. It needed something more for taste. I added some salt (usually try to avoid salt, but it was all I could think of). I've never made Alfredo Sauce before so I wasn't sure how to spice it up. I will definitely use this recipe again...it still was very good.
