Introduction

This is a recipe my husband likes to make. I'm not sure where he came up with it, but it's pretty darn tasty! This is a recipe my husband likes to make. I'm not sure where he came up with it, but it's pretty darn tasty!
Number of Servings: 2

Ingredients

    2 portobello mushroom caps (approximately 3.5 oz apiece)
    1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
    2 Tbsp olive oil
    1 tsp basil, dried
    1 tsp oregano, dried
    1 Tbsp garlic, minced
    salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Mix balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper, herbs, and garlic. Marinate mushroom caps in mixture for at least 15 minutes.

Grill portabellas for at least 5 minutes on each side or until tender. Serve plain or on a bun.

Makes 2 one-cap servings.

    This was very good and easy. Marinade was easy and dish was pretty filling. If you use regular vinegar make sure and use less or it might overwhelm the dish... not speaking from experience or anything. lol =} - 8/27/10

    I find this recipe delicious. The marinade is what makes this dish the bomb. Only thing is I ran out of seasalt one day and found I never needed it again. The mixture w/the grill does the trick. Thanx, great recipe. I also do it w/eggplant. excellent idea. - 7/10/10
