Introduction

Yes- that says "scrumptious" and "cottage cheese" together. A protein packed, super easy, yet savory snack that will leave you wanting more (at least that's what it did to me)! I'll admit, I was doubtful at first when I found it on 'The Cottage Cheese Page,' but TRY IT, it's well worth it! Yes- that says "scrumptious" and "cottage cheese" together. Surprisingly good! Like cheesecake filling. The vanilla really makes this so don't skimp on it. I substituted organic maple syrup for the Splenda. Thanks for sharing! - 2/15/16

I haven't tried this yet, but think I will make it with PB2 peanut powder instead of peanut butter....that will save about 100 calories! And I bet it will be just as good. - 9/15/11

Pretty damn good speaking from one who barely likes cottage cheese. I used 1/2 C lowfat cottage cheese, 1 TB cocoa, 1 tsp PB, a dash of real vanilla, 1 packet Splenda, and an ice cube, and I blended it all together so it was smooth and chilly. I will try with banana and chocolate next time, I think. - 3/23/10

OMG!! I don't like cottage cheese but this was awsome. I put it in a food processor to get the lumps out. No sweetener was needed. Oh man! I'm gonna have to experiment with this now. - 10/28/09

I personally cannot stand cottage cheese so for me to rate this 4 stars, I thought it pretty darn good. No, it's not a Dairy Queen Reese's Peanut Butter Ice Cream but it sure makes cottage cheese taste palatable beyond compare! Thank you for giving me a way to eat cottage cheese! - 2/6/09

I had my friend try it since I am eating it tomorrow. She said that it is good and tastes like chocolate peanut butter fudge. Cannot wait to try it. I tried it. Unless you like peanut butter, I would suggest doing just one tsp of peanut butter otherwise that will be all you taste when you eat this. - 3/22/17

I made it without the Splenda. I'm trying to get away from sweet things, but still keep the chocolate. The problem was when I added the vanilla, it smelled so much like chocolate chip cookie dough that nothing would have tasted good. I opted not to rate as I did not add the sweetener, the key in. - 4/27/16

Oh my goodness! I couldn't believe how good this was! Thank you! I wanted something to use up the extra cottage cheese I had, and boy did this work! I also had extra raspberries and I put them in, and wow! Yummy! Yummy! - 7/21/12

    Loved it!
I would lose the sweetener & vanilla.
Would use half a serving as a sandwich spread when craving something sweet & filling.

    O.K.
I put this together last night to eat for breakfast today. While I was making it I tasted it and thought it was pretty good. By the time I got done it today I changed my mind. Maybe it's because it sat over night. I was not a huge fan. - 12/28/10

I don't know why this hasn't gotten better ratings. I thought it was yummy. I wouldn't have changed a thing. It satisfied my hunger and my sweet tooth. Great option for increasing your protein! - 9/14/10

I liked this. I had to use 2/3 cup of cottage cheese because when I recalculated the recipe, my protien was much lower than yours (you must use some high-protien cottage cheese?) I blended it with a banana, but had to drink it because it got too wet. Next time I will try this as suggested. - 7/9/10

I actually really enjoy cottage cheese but didn't like this recipe. All I could really taste was the cocoa and it completely hid the flavor of the cottage cheese, instead of enhancing it. Though if you don't LIKE cottage cheese, this might be the recipe for you. - 3/7/10

Yummy! I used 2tsp pb, but I think next time I'll use 1. The pb overpowered the taste a bit. I also used a packet of equal since I didn't have splenda on hand. I used the fiber one cottage cheese for a little extra fiber:-) - 2/21/10

I liked this better with just the cocoa & Splenda added to the cottage cheese - before I added the PB & vanilla. - 6/11/08

It was good, but tasted like just like the ingredients-chocolate, peanut butter and cottage cheese, I guess I wanted something that didn't taste so lowfat. - 6/10/08

I liked this ALOT! I left out the vanilla and used PB2 and it was still awesome! Very filling too!! I will make this again for sure! - 5/15/08
