Introduction
Comfort food in the slow cooker, tho it could be baked as well.. I keep the meal light with brown rice, fresh vegetables & a side salad. Comfort food in the slow cooker, tho it could be baked as well.. I keep the meal light with brown rice, fresh vegetables & a side salad.Number of Servings: 2
Ingredients
-
1 Red Delicious Apple
1/4 C Brown Sugar Blend
1/4 C Country Crock
1 Tsp Cinnamon
0.75 Tsp Nutmeg
2 Lean, pork loin chops
Salt & Pepper to taste (optional)
Directions
Lightly rub chops with salt & pepper. (Optional) Then place in slow cooker.
In small saucepan, combine all ingredients except apple & melt to carmelize slightly. Add sliced or chunked (based on your preference for apple slices) & mix to coat. Pour Mixture over chops.
Cook on low 10 hours.
(My crock pot cooks very quickly even on low, these are actually done in two hours on this setting for me. Adjust your own cooking time accordingly.)
