Ingredients

    1 tablespoon(s) chili powder
    2 teaspoon(s) light brown sugar
    1 teaspoon(s) ground cumin
    1 teaspoon(s) dried thyme
    1 teaspoon(s) salt
    2 teaspoon(s) olive oil
    4 (8 ounce or 3/4 inch thick) salmon steaks
    Lemon wedges, optional

Directions

Makes 4 (8 oz. servings)

1. Prepare grill. In cup, mix chili powder, brown sugar, cumin, thyme, salt, and olive oil.

2. With hands, rub spice mixture over both sides of salmon steaks. Place salmon on grill over medium heat. Cook about 8 minutes or until salmon flakes easily when tested with a fork, turning once. Garnish with thyme sprigs and serve with lemon wedges, if preferred.

    Delicious! I love new ways to prepare salmon, I eat it a lot! I did ti in a grill pan and made nice grill marks on it, will use less salt and more sugar next time!!! Buy the way I made the BROKLY WOKLY as well for dinner and it was a really good combo!! - 3/17/08
