I could not figure out what the 1 TBS. of canola oil was for. It didn't mention it anywhere in the directions I'm surprised no one else caught this. I recalculated the recipe without the oil and substituting Panko Crumbs for the bread and came up with a calorie count of 91.5 cals. per patty. - 9/18/17

I'm a Marylander so I was quite skeptical on this one...but they turned out fantastic! I broiled them on high for 5 minutes on each side. Flipping them can be tricky, so use a large spoon or spatula. Oh, and one more thing...use panko breadcrumbs instead and you save a lot of calories! - 1/13/13

My 40 year old hubby, who eats like a 2 year old, loved these and asked for seconds! Yummm-o. I served it with some fresh broccoli and the cheesy scalloped potatoes from my "spark faves" cookbook. Excellent! - 1/12/09

These are the easiest way to make great crab cakes. I used my fav seasoning instead of Old Bay. - 3/17/21

Incredibly good and surprised at how well they came out using the broiler vs. frying in a pan. Also used plain panko breadcrumbs and they worked great. - 3/3/14

I tried these last night and they are awesome! I do have to say that I believe the protein and calories are wrong. - 10/18/11

To much mustard taste, but not to bad. - 8/17/08

This is a good recipe. I altered it a bit adding in fat free cream cheese and half the crab meat. I also only used 1/4 cup of bread crumbs. My recommendation however is to SPRAY the foil before putting your cakes down. It makes them easier to get off the pan. - 2/23/08
