Introduction

Ingredients

    2 cups whole natural almonds
    3 teaspoons olive oil
    3 teaspoons cumin
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
    2 teaspoons lime zest, freshly grated

Tips

Try sweet, fruity wines such as Riesling or Gewürztraminer, which are strong enough to stand up to the spicy aromatic characteristics!

Directions

Preheat oven to 250 degrees F. Stir all ingredients except lime zest in a medium mixing bowl until well-combined. Pour onto a rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 35-40 minutes, stirring once. Remove and immediately sprinkle with lime zest. Serve or cool completely and store in an airtight container.

Serving Size: 8 (1/4 cup serving)

    Sounds great and probably cheaper to make at home than buying a jar of seasoned almonds in the store. For people on here who comment on their personal tastes, that's inappropriate. Who cares if there are too many calories for you. Then don't make it, don't eat it and don't comment on it. - 1/16/13

    Good, and easy to make. Half the salt is perfect, but I didn't taste the lime as strongly as I wanted to. I ended up squeezing lime juice on the almonds, and putting them back in the oven a few more minutes. Quite tasty :) - 4/23/13
