My husband and I made these tortillas to go along with the new beef fajitas recipe that we were trying. These made pretty good tortillas, and I was surprised how flexible they were. The only thing I would do different is add more salt next time for more flavor. I would definitely make these agian! - 8/7/08

I have tried this 2 years ago and had problems with it. Ironically, experience is the best teacher and I am enjoying recipe. I do use unbleached flour and reduced sodium in salt and baking powder - 7/3/14

These tortillas turned out well. Time consuming but good. Next time I will add either garlic powder or onion powder or both to the mix. It would add some flavor. I think you should get some points for fitness because using the rolling pin on these is work. Good for the arms! - 6/6/14

This were great!!! I used some wheat flour and regular they didn't puff up like regular mexican tortillas though I wonder if it had to do with the wheat flour, however my mom says is likely due to a lot of baking powder she is original to Mexican cooking but the authentic is very unealthy. - 11/20/11

Good flavor and texture. Use really hot water. It will soften the dough. - 3/24/11

I substituted one cup of all-purpose flour with one cup of whole wheat flour and they came out great! My husband didn't even notice the whole wheat flour. I found they roll out better after being in the fridge for a little while - perfect circles that way. I might add a little more flavor next time - 1/29/10

I accidentally made these into tostada shells instead, haha. They're so good, nice and crunchy. Next time I should just cut the rolled out dough into triangles and make tortilla chips. - 8/25/09
