After reading all the negative comments, I have to say LOVE it, why not have a little fun with your food once in a great while, not for everyday, but I am sure some clever person can find a way to make it healthy, me I think my kids and their friends will get a laugh this Christmas in green and red. - 11/30/13

laughing at the comments- My mom used to make this- it IS a 60's throwback! Some family member asked me for this recipe a year ago... now I have it... not going to make it, but enjoyed the nostalgic trip to Christmas in my teens. - 11/30/13

A note to everyone about the corn syrup, The recipe is NOT CALLING FOR HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP!!!! It is calling for corn syrup. There is a difference. - 12/1/15

Love it! Yummy treat. I like the idea of making it a stocking stuffer too. Make some popcorn balls, wrap in saran wrap and tie with a cute string. Certainly isn't something to have often, but once in a while, you've got to have a small treat. - 12/6/13

This is not a healthy recipe!!!
Butter = unhealthy dairy sat fat
Corn syrup = Probably the worst thing you can put in your mouth! Say hello to insulin resistance, hormone disruption, systemic inflammation, Alzheimer's, etc.
    Brown Sugar - ditto HFCS
Flavored Gelatin = ditto HFCS plus nasty chemi

This recipe is just delicious. I made a bunch for a group of people who came over to watch football with me. Everybody loved it! It was all eaten before halftime started! Don't pay attention to the naysayers, they are always complaining about something. I like whatever tastes good to me. - 11/28/17

10 grams of fat for a 180 calorie snack - that works out to 50% of the calories as fat. This recipe is full of fat, saturated fat, sugar, and empty calories. I'm surprised this would be included on a "let's eat healthy" website. Sure it tastes good - it's basically carmel corn. - 12/1/16

Don't quite understand the nutritional stats - if you use 1/4 C Butter for 8 servings, that is 1/2 T per serving but full stats show 2 calculations for butter?? Also, full stats show sugar-free jello but recipe doesn't say that. I don't get sugar free jello + corn syrup + sugar. - 11/30/14
