I made this for my husband who spent a year living in Korea, only I added 1/4 cup dark brown sugar, 1 cup mushrooms and 1/2 cup match-stick carrots. He said it is just like the real thing! He was pleasantly surprised and so was I. My kids loved it! We will be having this again and again. - 1/13/10

This was delicious. We used sirloin and added a little Korean chili paste, substituted honey and raw sugar for the sugar--mostly honey. We marinated one hour and I think it will be even better marinated longer. - 5/24/08

I was recently in Korea and ate Galbi a few times. It was delicious, but some of the meat used was a little fatty. I'm excited to make a healthier version at home! - 5/26/08
