Oh, yeah. I used Italian bread crumbs instead of corn flakes. Also, people, try smashing crackers and use that for the breading. - 10/6/08

this was great!! a good way to make the chicken crispy on the underside is to place the baking sheet on top of something; I place mine on top of a couple of souffle cups; the point is to allow heat to go underneath; the wire rack doesn't cut it. - 6/17/10

I just made this recipe and it was amazing. I used seasoned salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder. As yummy as it was it might not make great leftovers. We let ours sit for about ten minutes before eating and they were a little less crispy than they were fresh out of the oven. Overall, five stars! - 8/2/10

This is great! I added the same seasonings as are used in the recipe "Baked Pork Chops," paprika, oregano, chili powder, garlic powder, black pepper, cayenne pepper, dry mustard, and a pinch of salt. This is a great way to spice it up! - 1/18/08

This is excellent. I used lemon pepper, a touch of salt, some pepper, and Strawberries bar-b-que seasoning. I put the seasoning in with the cereal and shook each piece to cover completely, will probably put on wire rack to get bottom crispy. - 1/6/10

Made this for supper tonight using the extra spices. Was very delicious. The only change I made was that I used Pam (instead of the butter spray) on a parchment lined cookie sheet. I don't think substituting the pam made much of a diff to the outcome of the recipe....Added to my recipe book.... - 5/3/14

    O.K.
Gonna have to give this one negative. It never got the crunchy texture I was hoping for out of a faux fried chicken. And the "breading" fell off very easily in addition to losing their crispiness - 10/9/12

This met my fried chicken needs. It wasn't as crunchy as I would have hoped. The bottom side was gummy, but it could be because I sprayed cookie sheet with oil. I will try this again and use a few suggested seasonings. - 10/14/10

My mom made this recipe quite often when i was growing up. It is called "Oven Fried Chicken" She used a whole chicken, skin on, dipped in 1 egg and then coated with cornflakes. She used a bread bag to shake the coating on. The underside is always soft due to contact with the pan. We enjoyed it. - 4/25/09

This was only ok. Although the chicken came out very tender it tasted nothing like fried chicken. It tasted very bland to me (and I even added extra seasonings as suggested by others) and the coating was not crispy at all. It tasted like bland breaded chicken to me. - 2/24/08

I think this was a delicious alternative to Fried Chicken! If you eat the original for the crunch you'll love this. My husband thought it was a little bland, so next time I'm going to marinate the chicken in FF Italian dressing and then put on the crunchy coating. - 10/25/07

I printed this recipe and my wife went out an bought some cornflakes and the recipe was on the box that was the same with the addition of 1 egg and 1 cup of milk to add to the seasoning before you roll in the crushed flakes and then make 3 lbs of chicken. I did this and used less than that. Great. - 8/4/07
