Ingredients

    1/2 lb potatoes, 11/2t canola oil, 1/2lb ground beef(93%lean), 1/2 large onion chopped, 1/2 red bell pepper, clove garlic, 14 oz. beef broth
    1T katchup, 11/2 t soy sauce, 11/2t worcestershire sauce, 1/2t curry powder. 11/2 t cornstarch, 1 tomato,8oz. peas & carrots, 2T milk 11/2t margaring, 1/2c sharp cheddar cheese, salt and pepper

Directions

cook potatoes till tender but firm, drain. in large skillet cook beef,onion,red pepper, and garllic till brown. stir in beef broth, ketchup, soy sauce,worcestershire sauce, and curry powder. bring to boil and simmer 3-4 minutes. mix cornstarch with water and stir into skillet with tomatoes,peas & carrots. cook till thinck season with salt and pepper. spoon into casserole dish. mash potatoes with milk and butter till creamy. spoon over mixture sprinkle with cheese. cook in 350 oven till cheese melts.

    I believe you can get the correct nutritional info for a recipe but grouping items into 1 item in your food log. I am new to this so I may be wrong. Do want to try. Thanks - 2/8/09

    This is cottage pie. Shepherds do not tend cows, they tend sheep ;-). Still looks good though! - 2/7/09
