Ingredients

    1 (8oz) package Fat Free cream cheese
    1 (8oz) tub Cool Whip Free Whipped Topping
    1/2 cup Splenda
    1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

In a medium mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until soft. Add Cool Whip, Splenda, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth. Makes 12 servings

    I used 4 ounces cool whip and 4 ounces plain yogurt just to make it a little healthier. It was very good! I also added a couple tsp corn starch to thicken it a bit. - 10/29/10

    Consistency was excellent, but I would rather go with the extra calories and use a reduced fat cream cheese rather than fat free, which tastes nothing like cream cheese. We tried this with powdered sugar which left an aftertaste I didn't like so I wouldn't recommend using that. - 5/11/09

    This is NOT a recipe! The reduced calorie content is dependent on using specific shop brought items.
    Unhelpful to those of us who:
    a) Do not live in the US
    b) Prefer to cook properly from scratch, and not get our food from tins and packets!

    Soooooo good!!! Taste just like the real thing! The only thing I changed was I used about 1/3 of the tub of cool whip and only put 1/4 cup Splenda and added a 1/4 cup sugar. We put it on our whole wheat pancakes! EXCELLENT!!! We loved it! - 6/16/08

    So good! Made this for a low calorie carrot cake, and it made that bad cake taste tolerable! I would also use less cool whip next time, since it is a little runny, and makes plenty! YUMMY!!!! - 5/8/08

    Excellent topper for carrot cake!! Only comment would be to maybe not use all 8 oz of cool whip to get a thicker "cream cheese" feel to it. Otherwise, taste and consistency were spot on!! Definitely refridgerate for best consistency. - 4/7/08

    I used 1/4 cup of Clabber Girl Sugar Replacer for Baking, and full fat cream cheese got good results. I would certainly suggest trying this recipe with your favorite substitutions. - 3/13/08

    This recipe is fantastic! Made it to frost lemon cupcakes for my girlfriend and she kept sneaking tastes of the frosting. Makes way more than 12 portions! I frosted 24 cupcakes with at least 2T(plenty!) and got about 32 servings total. If you like fruit dip this would be a much lower cal option! - 7/18/12

    Used regular kool-whip with the fat free creamcheese and put it on a reduced sugar chocolate cake. Didn't really mix well with the cake, but it was GREAT by itself!!
    I recommend making it the day before (texture was still the same and easy to spread). Mine tasted better the next day!
