Turned out great - I substituted Almond Breeze Vanilla to decrease the calories by more than 50%. I recommend topping it with a few strawberries or blueberries. This would be a great recipe to make with kids - they would have fun roling around the ice and seeing the liquid turn into ice cream. - 8/16/09

Sucralose and aspertame give me migraines, so I use PureVia (a stevia extract) No bitter taste and no headaches. So I would use the PureVia and for a chocolate flavor I would use cocoa powder. Frozen crushed fruits would also help it freeze quicker. All within my diabetic guidelines. Hooray!!! - 6/9/10

So good! I did this with my 5 year old and we loved it. My husband and I are on low-carb diets so this was a great sugar free dessert! I wanna try with chocolate, do you know of sugar free chocolate I can add to it? - 4/13/10

Easy and delicious. I made it with skim milk and almonds milk and both came out tasty. 1/2 serving will make a nice treat as a topping for some other desserts. - 12/20/10

This is fantastic with Almond milk, which lowers the calories. It is also great topped with fruit. I doubled the recipe and (with unsweetened almond milk) and it was still only 36 calories! - 11/17/14

Made this last night and it was super yummy! I created a makeover since I changed it a bit. I used Almond Breeze Unsweetened Almond Coconut milk, Stevia in the Raw & pure vanilla extract. Added some coconut shavings on top. Very good!!! I'll be making it again for sure! - 6/3/13

This sounds like such a good idea. I've tried a few times to make an ice cream substitute but without an ice cream maker its hard to do. I'm going to try to make this this weekend!! - 5/21/11

If I were doing this, I'd make one cup of it, half a cup isn't enough for all that trouble, and the calorie count is still reasonable anyway. - 7/8/10

Husband is borderline diabetic and I'm finally trying to eat healthier, too...so this sounds incredibly easy and tasty! Need to go buy some rock salt to keep on hand...can't wait to try! Thanks! ;o) - 6/12/10

I like different flavors so am thinking about experimenting and subbing the vanilla for one of the many flavorings available. Am also wondering if some sugar-free jello instead of Sucralose (or Splenda) would work. - 6/9/10

This sounds like something my five year old grand-daughter would love, making and eating, especially if it was poured on partially thawed strawberries. I am putting rock salt on my grocery list, so we can do this next time she is here. - 6/9/10

Sounds interesting. I'll have to try it. Someone mentioned adding chocolate to it- maybe Hershey's sugar free chocolate syrup would work, although it would add to the calories some. - 6/9/10
