Thought this was delicious. Got major points from the dear bf for making this for him last night. Since he follows a Gluten-free, Casein-free diet I substitued coconut milk, which worked out beautifully - 10/29/09

I haven't made this yet, but I've done something similar. When you refrigerate it, it makes an AWESOME 'fudge' that you can cut into 12 pieces. YUM! - 5/5/10

I made this for a Chef Meg SP taste testing party. I used unsweetened baker's chocolate. It would quickly solve a dark chocolate craving. It turned out very thick so one serving covered 3 chunks of fruit. I would add more milk next time. Shows you you can eat decadently on SP! - 11/16/09

Sounds great, but I probably would never measure the amount of choclate that coats my fruit. On something like this portions are hard to measure. - 9/27/09

I thought maybe a tablespoon over frozen yogurt or a banana.
It would cut down the calories and still do a chocolate fix. or does it get hard when cold? Then it could be like a cone dipped in that chocolate. OH, I liked those way back when--- LOL
PS agree with MOOKBALL on measuring

I haven't tried this recipe because I don't like marshmallows - too sweet for me. My fave way to eat fresh strawberries is with a drizzle of Hersheys syrup (1-2 tsp - about 35 calories) over cut up strawberries, with a spritz of whipped cream. Simple, yet decadent tasting & very low calories. - 6/8/10

Very easy and especially rich tasting. This was a great Valentine's Day splurge for my husband and me. I dished myself up a single serving (one-quarter cup) and dipped lots of strawberries, blueberries and blackberries into it! The marshmallows make it smooth, thick and sweet without adding fat. - 2/16/10

This is absolutely wonderful! I used Ghiradelli 60% cacao chocolate, and we used strawberries, bananas, grapes, angel food cake and marshmallows for dippers. I'm absolutely certain I had more than one serving, though. Delicious! - 2/16/11

I'm helpless around choc covered strawberries so this is a great stand-in - gives the chocolate taste but way less calories. Not a big fan of marshamallows, so left them out. It was a bit runny so I added more chips, but it's still better because of the evaporated milk. My son and I had a blast! - 2/10/11

I use Ghiradeli mini choolate chipe 65% or 85% . I put them in the micowave to melt and that way the pyrex bowl is heated to makes it go faster. I never add milk I was told milk reduces the antioxidant value of Dark chocolate, I use soy or almond I put the bowl over hot water to blend in marshmallow - 2/14/12

I love this recipe, but I find it to be somewhat misleading. There is no way you can get 12 servings out of this. More likely, 6 or less...
I know, I know everything in moderation, but lets be realistic, 1/4 does not go very far, and then you have to add the cals of whatever you're dipping into it

I'll maybe give this another try, next time I have all the family home.
Melted dark chocolate (Green & Blacks) with some cream and some fresh orange juice, and plenty of fruit of all sorts for dipping.
Stewed apple or pear goes really well, too, with a dollop each of sauce and some ice cream.

How about some dark chocolate, and heavy whipping cream or full fat coconut milk with a hit of stevia? Leave the marshmallows for the kiddies. They are full of sugar anyhow. - 3/20/10

I like the chocolate fondue without the marshmallows. I don't need it to be real sweet and I think the marshmallows-even mini ones-are too sweet. Diabetes has a history in my family esp. on my Dad's side so I try to cut out a lot of sweets. Take time to really taste your food. - 1/19/10

OK, fat free evaporated milk and marshmallows for a DIABETIC recipe? And they wonder why I accuse them of trying to kill me.

Sugar in the milk, sugar in the marshmallows, sugar in the chocolate. I wouldn't touch this with a 10 foot pole.

Delicious! I made it in the microwave, melting the chocolate in the milk first, then whisking in the marshmallows, microwaving as needed for about 30 seconds at a time. I'm not a fan of fondue, but us it as a sauce for ice cream.

I got 2 cups of sauce, making a serving equal to 2 Tbsp plus 2 tsp
