Introduction

I made this chili years before being a Sparker and decided to try it tonight. I used Morning Star Crumbles and extra lean ground beef. I decided to use fresh mushroom for an extra added change as well. I made this chili years before being a Sparker and decided to try it tonight. Ingredients

    -1 lb extra lean ground beef, browned and drained well
    -1 C chopped onions
    -4 C fresh mushrooms, cut into bite sized pieces
    -1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed (yields 1.5 C)
    -1 can pinto beans, drained and rinsed (yields 1.5 C)
    -1 can, 10 oz diced tomatos with green chilis
    -2 cans, 8 oz each, tomato sauce
    -2 T chili powder (seasoning or 4 alarm if you want)
    -1 bag Morning Star Meal Starters Crumbles

Directions

--Chop your cleaned mushrooms and onions while the meat is browning. Drain the meat well and then dump it into a large crockpot. Put your onions and mushrooms in the skillet and stir them over med. heat and saute them until almost tender. Add them to the crockpot as well.

--While the onions and shrooms are cooking, drain your beans and put them in the crockpot, add the tomato sauce, tomatos with chilis, crumbles and seasoning. Stir, cover and turn on high. Cook for about 1-1.5 hrs stirring occasionally.

--Makes 9 servings of 1 C each.
