Introduction

Rice and milk flavored with cardamom, sprinkled with pistachios on top. Delicious. Rice and milk flavored with cardamom, sprinkled with pistachios on top. Delicious.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    Basmati Rice ; 1/4 cup
    Milk 2% ; 3.5 cups
    Green cardamom ground ; 1 tsp
    Saffron strands ; 1/2 tsp
    Splenda ; 1 cup or to taste
    Pistachio nuts ; 1/2 tbls

Directions

In a small cup put one tbls hot water and add the saffron to it keep aside. Soak rice overnight or at least 4 hrs, make a paste of the rice with a little water in a blender. In a heavy bottomed pan add milk, the paste and stir continuously on med flame till it starts to thicken and looks creamy, let it boil still stirring all the time, take it off the heat, add cardamom powder and splenda, pour into a bowl or individual cups. Garnish with the sliced Pistachios and Saffron. Enjoy
