My mom made these when I was a kid. Little did she know that she was making a type of granola bar. You can also add a few chopped almonds or raisins or chocolate chips. Ingredients

4 cups oatmeal
2 cups brown sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 cup margarine or butter
Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes depending on your oven. or until edges start to brown bake a little longer if you them like crispy
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees use a 9" X 12" baking pan and cut into 24 pieces after they have cooled. Cutting them warm will make them break up.
Mix oatmeal, brown sugar and baking powder together. Melt margarine or butter in a pan or microwaveable bowl. Add melted margarine or butter to oatmeal mixture. Pour into a 9 X 12 " pan and press down with a spoon. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until edges are golden brown. yummy granola type snack
