Introduction
The great thing about berries is that if you freeze them, they don't lose their nutritional value! Using frozen berries in a smoothie gives it a great texture without needing to use thickening agents such as yogurt. It's also easy to swap out my berry preferences with your own favorites! Ingredients
-
1 whole banana
1/2 cup strawberries, fresh or frozen*
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 cup frozen raspberries
1 cup soy milk
Directions
Peel banana, break into chunks, and toss in blender. Add everything else. Blend everything well. Serve immediately.
* If using frozen whole strawberries, add them in first with the soy milk and blend. Then add the other ingredients and finish blending. This helps the strawberries blend so you don't end up with big chunks of frozen strawberry in your smoothie!
