Number of Servings: 40

Ingredients

2 cups quick cook rolled oats
    3/4 cup whole wheat flour
    1/2 tsp baking soda
    1/2 tsp salt
1 cup lightly packed brown sugar
    1/3 cup unsweetened apple sauce
1/4 cup buttermilk (I buy the powdered buttermilk from Bulk Barn and just make as much as I need for whatever recipe I'm making at the time... regular milk works as well though if you don't have this)
    1 tsp pure vanilla extract
    1 cup dark chocolate chips

Directions

Mix all dry ingredients well. Blend all wet ingredients in blender for 1-2 mins and then add the dry ingredients until just moist. Bake at 325 degrees farenheight for about 11 minutes. Do not overbake! Let cool on the pan for a few minutes before trying to remove from pan.

    Very Good
Not like your run of the mill chocolate chip cookie, , but I thought these were great. And addictive, so beware! The consistency is kind of like a haystack cookie. And I used dark choc chips - very rich and indulgent! Next time I'm going to try Splenda brown sugar and see how they turn out. - 1/8/13

These are so addicting!!!!! The dough is a little dry before they are baked, but after they come out of the oven, they're suuper moist and so delicious!! -- and ridiculously healthy! I used dark chocolate nestle morsels and added an extra 1/4 cup...I'm deff making them again.:)) - 1/2/12

That's very kind. Thank you. I try not to make them anymore because I eat them ALL when I do. LOL Happy New Year!
