Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    5 roma tomatoes - diced
    1 small onion - diced
    1 - 2 tbls diced fresh cliantro
    1 clove garlic - minced
    salt
    fresh pepper
    1-2 dash hot sauce
    juice from 1 lime
    2 small Jalapeno - diced (de-seed & devain according to how hot you want it... the more veins and seeds you have the hotter it will be. If you get all veins and seeds out of the peppers its not spicy at all)

Directions

mix all listed ingredients together and place in zip lock bag or tupperware container. Chill in fridge for 3 hours to let flavors combine.

keeps in fridge for up to 3 days :-).... very good mixed with diced avocado or black beans. (calorie counts not included)

    Making this tonight Jess! Thanks for sharing! I don't have any cilantro, I hope it still comes out good! I've been buying the Kroger Pico de Gallo and thought...hmmmm, I bet I can make this myself! And poof, I remember you had posted it! I loooove it on my black beans! - 7/12/10

    I'm sure you will still like it, even without the cilantro its just a really fresh yummy thing to eat. Try it with the cilantro next time, it gives it a great flavor that you just dont get without it. :-)

    This is how I make mine too. For my husbands, I make it more spicy by adding the seed and veins from the jalapenos. He loves avocados in it too. I never thought about the black beans. I'll have to try it! - 7/16/10
