Introduction

Full fat mayo, nonfat yogurt - tastes delicious, low in carbs and reasonable in calories. What more could you want from a salad dressing? :-) Please comment if you make this and enjoy! Ingredients

    Blue Cheese, 4.8 oz (remove)
Mayonnaise, regular (mayo), 1 cup (remove)
Yogurt, plain, skim milk, 1 cup (8 fl oz) (remove)
    Garlic, 3 cloves (remove)
    *Onion powder, 1 tsp (remove)
    Lemon juice, 1 tbsp (remove)
    Salt, 1 tsp (remove)
    Pepper, black, 1 tsp (remove)

Directions

Blend garlic, yogurt, mayo and seasonings until smooth and creamy. Add blue cheese and process just until the cheese is mostly mixed in but there are still some chunks left.

It will thicken up in the refrigerator. I store mine in a clean pasta sauce jar - this makes exactly 3 cups (24 oz.) of dressing.

24 servings if you use 2 tablespoons (nutrition information based upon this) or 48 servings if you use 1 tablespoon.

You could shave calories or carbs even further by diluting this with unsweetened almond milk, a bit more lemon juice and garlic, and more salt and pepper.

In answer to Debnicu's question, the reason for full fat mayo instead of alight version is for the low carb count. Light and/or fat free products have higher carb counts (usually because they add sugar in place of fat). Very bad for a diabetic. :) - 10/30/10

Question regarding the recipe: why do you use full fat mayo, would it still taste okay if you used a light version. Blue cheese dressing is my absolute favorite. Can't wait to try this. - 6/6/10
