Ingredients
-
2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
1 tbsp Baking Powder
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp Olive Oil
1.5-2 cups Water
1 15 oz can Tomato Sauce
1.5 cups Great Value Shredded Mozzarella
16 slices Armour Italian Style Pepperoni
2 cloves garlic
1-2 tsp of chopped onions (fresh or dehydrated)
1-2 tsp Italian Seasoning
Directions
Makes an 8-slice pizza on regular pizza pan. This has thick crust, which my family likes, you can reduce your flour (and subsequently water, baking powder, etc) for a thinner crust. I also am making this with what is left of our groceries so you can use a reduced fat cheese and pepperoni in order to reduce your calories and fat.
Preheat your oven to 425.
Mix flour, salt, and baking powder together. Add olive oil and water. Mix until you have an elastic but dry dough. Can add more flour tbsp by tbsp until you accomplish this. Or add water slowly to achieve the correct consistency. Knead by machine or hand for 5-10 minutes. Roll out dough on a flat, lightly floured surface.
Lightly spray pan with a nonstick spray. (no calories, no fat! I use an olive oil spray!)
Place dough on pan and bake for about 7-8 minutes.
Take crust out of oven and top. It's fun to add other toppings, anything you like! Peppers, spinach, etc.
Bake for another 7-9 minutes until is bubbly but not browned!
Set to cool for 5-10 minutes. Slice into 8 yummy slices and serve!
