Ingredients

    4 oz whole wheat pasta
    1/4 cup olive oil
    6 garlic cloves
    1/2 cup chopped onions
5 basil leaves (or 1 tsp dried basil)
    dash of kosher salt

Directions

Boil pasta according to package directions. Chop garlic, onion and basil,if fresh. Put oil, garlic basil and onions into a pan. Heat until garlic and onions are cooked, usually 7-10 minutes. Drain pasta, add olive oil, stir. Add salt.
Makes 2 -2oz servings.
You can also add veggies or meats to this base mixture, but I did not account for the calories. And I prefer this without any additional flavors to change the taste.

    Incredible!
This recipe is great.. I added a can of italian style tomatos and omitted the onion... Hubby won't eat whole wheat pasta and that is what I used... I just didn't tell him. He never knew. - 8/6/10
