Ingredients

    1 1/2 c whole wheat flour
    1 Tbsp granulated sugar
    2 tsp baking powder
    1/4 tsp salt
    1 large egg, beaten
    1 c milk
    2 Tbsp vegetable oil
    2 ripe bananas, mashed

    Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl. In a large bowl, add egg, milk, oil and banana, mix and stir in flour mixture. Heat a lightly greased griddle to medium heat. Add about 1/4 c of batter for each pancake, top each with 1/4 Tbsp of chocolate chips and turn as edges become golden. Serve with maple syrup if desired. Makes 12 pancakes.
