Ingredients

    1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
    1 small red onion, sliced
    12 cherry tomatoes, halved
    12 pitted black olives, halved
    1/4 Parmesan cheese
    1/3 cup olive oil
    2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
    1/2 tsp ground mustard
    1/2 tsp salt
    dash pepper

Directions

Place beans in a steamer basket. Place in a large saucepan over 1 in. of water; bring to a boil; cover and steam for 7-8 minutes.

In a large bowl, combine the beans, onion, tomatoes, olives and cheese. In a jar with a tight fitting lid, combine the olive oil, vinegar, garlic, mustard, salt and pepper; shake. Drizzle with dressing; toss to coat.

    This salad is wonderful! I have made it for many summer BBQ's and it is always a hit! I love to put it on my salads in place of dressing. - 10/16/11
