    1 lb ground lean beef
    1 egg
    1/2 cup picante sauce or salsa
    1 packet of meatloaf seasoning
    1/4 - 1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs as needed. (optional)
    1/2 cup BBQ sauce
    2 tsp mustard (any kind) I use brown or spicy mustard.
    1 tbsp brown sugar


In large mixing bowl combine all ingredients except BBQ, mustard, and brown sugar. Mix well. Place in square baking dish. In seperate small bowl mix BBQ and mustard and brown sugar. spread over meatloaf and bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until done. Cut into 8 servings.

    This meatloaf was incredibly good. I used half extra lean ground beef and hallf ground turkey. Next time I will make 2-freeze one and bake one. - 5/12/09

  • This is my go-to meatloaf recipe. I make it exactly as the recipe states and it always turns out perfect. I love the BBQ sauce flavor. I've shared it with others and they love it too! - 5/20/17

  • Awesome recipe. I have never made meatloaf myself and this one was a huge winner! Instead of pre packaged meatloaf seasoning. I made my own from a recipe I found online and used baby rays sweet and spicy BBQ sauce. It was great! Definitely will be in my rotation from now on! - 4/7/17

  • I make my meatloaf using the egg and crushed crackers, different seasonings, usually nature's seasons or Greek seasoning. But my topping is a mixture of picante sauce and tomato sauce.... The topping is soo good! - 3/22/17
