Introduction

I am trying to add less sugar and substituting some whole wheat flour to the crust for added fiber. I am trying to add less sugar and substituting some whole wheat flour to the crust for added fiber.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 stick butter
    3/4 c flour
    1/4 c whole wheat flour
    2 Tbs sugar
    2 cups strawberries halved - larger harder ones
    2 cups strawberries sliced
    3/4 c sugar
    3 T. corn starch
    1 teaspoon of lemon juice optional

Directions

melt a stick of butter in a pie pan and add the flour and 2 Tbsp flour all into the pan and use a fork to stir it up and then press into the pan. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly brown. Remove and cool. When cool arrange 2 cups of halved strawberries in bottom and pour lemon juice over if you wish.
In a saucepan put the 2 cups sliced strawberries, 3/4 c sugar and 3 Tbsp corn stach and heat on medium stirring the entire time. When thickened, pour over berries in pan. Cool for 1 to 2 hours and serve!
