Canola Oil, 3 tbsp
Cumin seed, 1 tsp
Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped
Garlic, 6 cloves
Ginger Root, 2 tsp
Jalapeņo Peppers, 3 pepper
Red Ripe Tomatoes, 2 cup, chopped
Potato, raw, 4 large, peeled and cut onto small pieces
Cauliflower, raw, 1 head, large, cut into small pieces
Salt, 1 tbsp
Garam masala, 1 tsp
Turmeric, ground, 1 tbsp
I also add a teaspoon of black mustard seeds and a teaspoon of chat-masala, but could not find these in the ingredient list.
Directions
Please adjust salt and pepper to taste.
Heat oil in a big pan, add cumin seeds and black mustard seeds. Cook for 1 min.
Add onions, garlic and ginger. Heat till onions turn light brown.
Add tomato and jalapeņos. Cook till tomatoes are soft.
Add turmeric, chat and garam masala, and salt. Stir well and heat for another 2 minutes.
Add Potatoes and Cauliflower pieces. Mix all the ingredients well, cover the pan or if using pressure cooker put the lid on and continue to cook over medium heat ( stirring occasionally if using a pan )
Its traditionally served with roti or rice.
