Ingredients

3 large apples chopped into small chunks
1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
3 Tbsp of splenda (granulated for baking, if you like it really sweet)
1/4 cup sorghum
3/4 cup plain instant oatmeal (dry)
2 Tbsp butter
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Place apple chunks into a standard size metal pie pan. Sprinkle apple chunks with cinnamon (and splenda if desired).
Drizzle sorghum over the apples.
Cover the top of the apples with the oatmeal.
Chop the butter into small chunks and scatter across the oatmeal.
Cover the pie pan with aluminum foil and pinch underneath the rim of the pan to create a seal.
Bake covered for about 35 minutes or until most of the oatmeal is moist.
Serves six. Tastes great with a scoop of fat-free no sugar added vanilla ice cream!
