Ingredients

    Maple Syrup, 4 tbsp
    Spicy Brown Mustard, 6 tsp
    Apple Cider, 1 oz
    Onions, raw, .5 cup, chopped
    *Cumin seed, .51 tsp
    Allspice, 0.25 tsp
    *Pork, fresh, loin, top loin (chops), boneless, separable lean and fat, raw, .7 lb
    Olive Oil, Extra Virgin, 1.33 tbs
    *McCormick GrillMates Montreal Steak Seasoning, 1 tsp (Or salt and pepper to taste)
    Apples, fresh, 2 medium (2-3/4" dia) (approx 3 per lb, sliced into 1/2" rounds with core and peel in tact
    *Lemon Juice, 1 lemon yields
    Nutmeg, ground, .5 tsp

Directions

preheat oven to 350; preheat grill or non-stick griddle pan over medium high heat

combine maple syrup, mustard, cider, onion, allspice and cumin in a small saucepan, cook over medium heat 7-10 minutes or until sauce begin to thicken.

coat chops lighly with EVOO, season with grill seasoning blend (or salt and pepper) and cook on grill, 3 minutes on each side. Baste chips liberally with sauce, cook 3 minutes more, then transfer to a baking sheet. Baste again with sauce and place in a hot oven to finish cooking them. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, until you apples are ready to come off the grill pan.

Coat apple rounds with lemon juice and a drizzle of oil. Season with grill seasoning or salt and pepper and a little nutmeg. Cover grill pan surface with as many pieces of apple as possible. As the apples get tender, remove and replace with remaining slices. apples shoukld cook 3 minutes on each side, until tender.

serve chops with apples along side.
