Introduction

Old fashioned Ham and Beans made in the crock pot. Old fashioned Ham and Beans made in the crock pot.
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    1 pound of great northern beans
    Ham on bone or 1 cup of cubed ham
    4 TBS of cornstarch (optional)
    Water

Directions

Soak beans overnight. In the morning, strain and rinse beans.

Add beans and ham to the crock pot. Add enough water to cover ingredients.

Cook on low all day (6-8 hours). If you used a ham bone, remove it.

Stir ham and beans. If it is runny, mix corn starch with COLD water. Slowly pour in corn starch and cook until Ham and Beans thickens.
