Ingredients

    *Ronzoni Healthy Harvest 7 grain blend pasta FUSILI, 13.5 oz - the whole box
    *Butterball Italian Turkey Sausage (1 link), 3 servings Onions, raw, .5 cup, chopped
    Olive Oil, 1 1tsp
    Chicken Broth, 1 cup
    *canellini beans, 1 cup (drained can)
    Spinach, fresh, 2 cup
    Red Pepper flakes, .25 tsp (remove)
    Sage, ground, dry 1 tbsp

Directions

Prepare the pasta according to box directions. Meanwhile, chop 1/2 onion and saute in 1t EVOO. When soft, put in bowl and saute the sausages (if raw) in the remaining oil in pan. If possible, remove from casing and crumble. When done, add 1 can canellini beans (drained), 1 cup chicken broth. Simmer on low, and add 1 cup chicken broth and 1/2t red pepper flakes and 1T sage (more to taste). Heat for about 5 minutes. During last minute, wilt the baby spinach leaves in the saute, then toss prepared pasta with saute.

    Good
    Could use some more veggies - saute peppers along with the onion, maybe some sliced grape tomatoes. Then I'd make it again. - 1/12/11
