Introduction
Indian lentil soup. Indian lentil soup.Number of Servings: 6
Ingredients

*chana dal, 0.50 cup
*moong dal, 0.50 cup
*Indian, Masoor Dal (Pink/Orange; 1cup), 0.5 cup
Garlic, 2 clove
*Green Chilli, 1 whole
*Cumin seed, 1 tbsp
*Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 1.5 tbsp ( alternatively use any oil of your choice)
Turmeric, ground, 0.25 tsp
Tomatoes ( 1 whole)
Salt, 1 tsp ( as per taste)
Water, tap, 4 cup (8 fl oz)
Directions
1. In a pressure cooker , Add chana dal, moong dal and masoor dal in equal quantities. ( 0.5 cup here) and add diced tomato.
2. Add 3 times water and close the lid to whistle 2 times.
3. Alternatively, Soak the dal mixture for 1-2 hours and boil untill soft enough to mash with figertips.
4. In a pan, add 1.5 tbs of olive oil and let it heat.
5. Add, cumin seeds , chopped garlic, and chopped chilli and let cumin seeds pop.
6. Add this mixture in the boiled dal mixture along with salt.
7. To add flavor, add some chopped cilantro.
