Very quick and easy to make. Good as a time saver. Very quick and easy to make. Good as a time saver.
Number of Servings: 30


    3 cups oats
    2 Tbsp Cocoa
    2 cups sugar
    1/2 cup milk
    1/2 cup butter
    1 tsp vanilla


Combine the oats and cocoa in a large bowl and mix until the oats is coated in cocoa.

In a non-stick saucepan, cook sugar, milk and butter together. Bring to a rolling boil, then time for about 1 minute and remove from heat.

Combine saucepan-mixture with oat- mixture immediately, by pouring the saucepan's contents over the oats-mixture. Add the vanilla and stir, then scoop spoons full over wax paper and allow to cool.

Makes around 30 decent sized cookies.

  • My recipe is almost identical, but it calls for 1/4 cup cocoa. In addition, I have tweaked it to use only 1 1/2 cup sugar, 3/4 cup butter and 3/4 cup milk and adjust the oats as needed to get a nice consistancy.. - 9/16/19
