Ingredients

    4 Lamb Shanks (small)
    1 Can Tomato Puree
    1/4 Cup Raisins
    1 TBSP Whole Cardamom

    1 TSP Paprika
    1 TSP Cumin
    1 TSP Ground Coriander
    1 TSP Ground Cloves
    1 TSP Ground Nutmeg
    1 TSP Ground Cinnamon
    1 TBSP Sea Salt

Directions

This recipe is for 4 individual lamb shank servings. It pairs beautifully with my Lentil Puree!

Place the lamb shanks in the bottom of a slow cooker. Pour tomato puree over the shanks. Sprinkle the raisins and the cardamom over the shanks.

In a bowl, mix all of the other ingredients, then evenly sprinkle over the lamb shanks.

Cook on high for roughly 5 hours. Serve shanks with sauce poured over the top.

*NOTE...you may prefer to remove the cardamom pods prior to serving.

    Incredible!
    Had this dish at a Middle Eastern restaurant and loved it. Was looking for the spice combination to make it at home. They served it with rice pilaf and white beans. Yum! - 11/21/15
