Introduction

I love cabbage rolls, but I've created this recipe and it far surpasses any others I've ever had. With just a hint of sweetness, these are sure to make you want seconds. To add a bit more flavor, I sometimes add a can or two of diced tomatoes, but that isn't included in the nutritional information. Line a large casserole dish or roasting pan with the torn cabbage pieces. place about a quarter cup of the mixture into each cabbage leave and roll up like a burrito, tucking in the sides to prevent leakage. Place in the dish. Once all the leaves and beef mixture is used up combine the remaining brown sugar and tomato sauce and pour over the cabbage rolls. To prevent cabbage rolls from burning place a layer of cabbage on top of the sauce and cover in foil. Bake for about 90 minutes. In the last 10 or 15 minutes, take off the foil.
