Ingredients

    cinnamon, oats, sugar, flax seeds

Directions

makes 8 1/2 cup servings

toast 4 cups dry oatmeal in oven, at 400 degrees for about ten minutes, stirring a few times so it won't burn. Remove from oven as it just begins to change color. Mix sugar with just enough water to make a paste, and dissolve in microwave. After oats are removed from oven, stir in dissolved sugar, add cinnamon to taste.

I use sugar instead of honey, syrup or molasses simply because I never have those ingredients when I want them!

This is a good, low-fat alternatve to granola, but WATCH PORTION SIZES.
