Ingredients

    Ingredients:
    Granulated Sugar, 1.25 cup (remove)
    Butter, unsalted, 1 cup (remove)
    Egg, fresh, 2 large (remove)
    Pancake Syrup, .25 cup (remove)
    Vanilla Extract, 1 tbsp (remove)
    *Flour, white, 3.5 cup (remove)
    Baking Powder, .75 tsp (remove)
    Baking Soda, .5 tsp (remove)
    Salt, .5 tsp (remove)

Directions

Combine sugar and butter in a large bowl. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add eggs, syrup and vanilla; mix well and set aside. Combine 3 cups flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; beat into sugar muxture gradually on low speed. Mix until well blended; divide into 4 portions. Wrap with plastic wrap and refrigerate for one hour to overnight. Sprinkle one tablesppon remaining flour onto a length of wax paper; place one dough portion on top. Flatten slightly; turn over, add more flour and another length of wax paper. Roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness; cut out with floured cookie cutters. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Decorate as desired with sprinkles, nuts or chocolate chips, or leave plain to be froted later. Bake at 375 degrees for 5 to 9 minutes. Makes 3 to 4 dozen.
