Introduction

Simple pie crust with no crisco! Simple pie crust with no crisco!
Number of Servings: 16

Ingredients

    2 cups all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup vegetable oil
    1/4 cup milk

Directions

Combine flour and salt together in a large mixing bowl; set aside.
In a separate bowl, mix oil and milk together; add oil mixture to flour mixture and blend with a fork.
Divide into 4 portions, wrap each portion in plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to use.
Makes 2 pie crusts. (8 slices per pie)

    There's too much flour. You should only use 1 cup and add more, if you need to. Too much flour makes it tough.

    Incredible!
    Wonderful crust, light and flaky. This is a recipe my family has used for years. We got it from my grandmother and swear by it but don't know its origin. I refuse to make any other pie crust.
    TIP-Don't try to roll out your crust more than once, it tends to become tough. Just start over.
