Ingredients

    2 cups whole wheat flour (Stone milled for chapatis)
    dash of salt
    1 tsp olive oil for making dough

    some flour for dusting
    1/4 tsp olive oil for each chapati (optional)

Directions

mix flour, salt and 1 tsp olive oil with hands
add upto 1 cup warm water slowly to make a soft dough
let it rest for 30-40 mins
make 12 equal sized balls
roll out each ball in a long oval shape, sprinkle with oil and flour, fold in half and roll out into a 8-10 inch roti
roast on med-low on one side, flip , turn up the heat
and roast until bubbles appear
flip, roast until all raw appearance is gone and light brown spots appear
take it out in a bowl lined with paper towels and cover and store
serve with curry/dal/raita or pickle

    Incredible!
    Quite accurate for a typical home-made chapati. In comparison, Deep Tandoori Roti (which is thicker and heavier) is 58g and has 65 calories - 4/26/12
