Introduction

Similar to a recipe already on here, but with applesauce substitute. Similar to a recipe already on here, but with applesauce substitute.
Number of Servings: 50

Ingredients

    3 c. oatmeal, instant or old fashioned
    1 c. coconut, shredded
    1/4 c. cocoa
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. milk
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. unsweetened applesauce
    1 t. vanilla

Directions

Mix all dry ingredients well.
Place butter, milk, sugar, applesauce and vanilla in saucepan and bring to boil. Allow to boil for a couple minutes.
Stir into dry ingredients well and use spoon to place cookies out on wax paper to cool. Makes 45-50 depending on size of cookie.

    Thanks for this low fat version. I didn't make any changes, just made as directed...these are great! My three year old son loves them, too...and I don't feel bad letting him eat them, either. - 8/24/11
