Introduction

I was looking for a healthier Chili recipe using dried beans instead of canned. This is what I came up with. Feel free to tweek it. I must admit I do think it is missing something. I did not meassure out the servings, so it is probably more than 16. I browned the meat the same night I soaked the beans so in the morning I just dumped it all into the crockpot. Ingredients

    15 Bean Soup Dry Bean Mix, 20 oz bag
    1-2 Lbs Turkey
    1 Large Onion
    1 or 2 Large Bell Peppers
    2 Cans Diced Tomatos
    2 Coors Light
    12 TBSP Chili Powder
    Pinch of Cinimon

Directions

Boil your beans and soak overnight. Rinse the next day and add to your crock pot.
Brown ground Turkey, onion & bell pepper together with a couple tablespoons of the chili powder. Shouldn't be much fat, but if there is drain it off and add the meat to your crock pot. Add beer, tomatos and chili powder to taste. More or less chili powder to tastse. If there is not enough liquid to cove beans, add some water.
Cook on high for 6 hours or low all day.
