Introduction

I saw this in a grocery store deli and had to try it. I have made it with chicken breast also. I usally slice them in half. This recipe requires thin cuts of meat to be able to roll it up. I usally tenderize the meat before I start. The silicone rubber bands I bought at a kitchen store. They are reuseable and are good for 600 degrees. Ingredients

1- beef flank steak per serving 1- medium fresh sliced mushroom per steak. 1- Tablespoon of freshly chopped shallot per steak. 1-slice of low fat provolone cheese per steak. 1-Teaspoon of low sodium soy sauce per steak. 1-Tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce. 1- Teaspoon of dry steak seasoning. 1/4- teaspoon of coarse ground pepper.

Directions

Heat oven to 325 degrees. I buy thin beef flank steaks about a 1/4 inch thick. I then trim any loose fat off. I then tenderize them with a meat hammer. I then apply the steak seasoning, ground pepper, and soy sauce. I then place a layer of thin sliced mushrooms and shallots over the steak. I then place spinich leafs over the shallots and mushrooms. I then place one slice of the smoked provolone cheese over everything. Then I roll it up! Be careful when doing this the sinich leafs try to pop out. I then put a silicone rubber band on (or string) and place it in a glass 9x9 pan. I then dribble worcestershire sauce over the top. I then cover the pan with tin foil poking holes in it to vent. Cook at 325 for about 20 mins.
