Introduction
instant oatmeal with protein powder and Spectrum Organic coconut oil addedAdd cinnamon to taste instant oatmeal with protein powder and Spectrum Organic coconut oil added
Add cinnamon to taste
Number of Servings: 1
Ingredients
-
Quaker or other brand quick/instant oatmeal - dry 1/2 cup
coconut oil a 1 tsp or more to taste (find it helps take away the grainyness of the protein powder)
Brown Rice protein powder
tap water - 1 cup (I like my oatmeal sticky)
ground cinnamon - to taste (I like about 1 tb)
Directions
add oatmeal and protein powder to bowl and stir
(I like to mix them dry before adding water otherwise protein powder gets clumpy on the top)
add 1 cup water and stir
add coconut oil
microwave for 1 minute and stir
microwave for additional minute (or less if you like a runnier oatmeal) and stir
cook additional seconds until done to right consistency
Once done to consistency you like, sprinkle on cinnamon and stir together and enjoy.
Often I've made this at home in a pyrex container and put a lid on it and ate it when I got to work.
